A painting depicting that moment of solitude on Great Slave Lake as ice slowly turns to spring and the melt begins. In the background you can make out the small houseboats in the thick of sunlight and in the foreground you can see skier tracks and the beginning of puddles. This painting was quite challenging: trying to turn a moment into a painting.
